Empowering Minds Through the Wonders of Magic
At Manovikas Special School, we are dedicated to providing holistic development opportunities for our students. One of our most cherished initiatives is the Magic Planet Admission Program, which offers our students a unique blend of education, entertainment, and empowerment.
About Magic Planet
Located in Kazhakuttom, Thiruvananthapuram, Magic Planet is the world's first magic-themed park. Established on October 31, 2014, by renowned magician Gopinath Muthukad, the park serves as a sanctuary for traditional street magicians and circus artists, offering them a platform to showcase their talents. Beyond entertainment, Magic Planet is a hub for learning, aiming to dismantle irrational beliefs and promote scientific temper through the art of magic.
The Different Art Centre (DAC)
A significant highlight within Magic Planet is the Different Art Centre (DAC). This center is dedicated to educating and empowering children with diverse disabilities. DAC offers training in various art forms, including music, dance, drama, painting, and more, all infused with a touch of magic. The center's inclusive approach ensures that children with special needs receive comprehensive support to hone their skills and boost their confidence.
Our Collaboration with Magic Planet
Recognizing the transformative potential of Magic Planet, Manovikas Special School has established a collaborative program to facilitate regular visits for our students. This partnership aims to:
- Enhance Learning: By experiencing the fusion of magic and science, students develop a deeper understanding of various concepts in an engaging manner.
- Boost Confidence: Interacting with performers and participating in activities helps students build self-esteem and social skills.
- Promote Inclusivity: Witnessing performances by differently-abled artists at DAC inspires our students and reinforces the belief that limitations can be overcome with determination and support.

Future Endeavors
Manovikas Special School aims to deepen this collaboration by organizing joint performances, art exhibitions, and talent showcases in partnership with DAC. We also plan to facilitate training sessions for our educators, drawing insights from the methodologies employed at Magic Planet.
In short, The Magic Planet Admission Program exemplifies our commitment to providing enriching experiences that transcend traditional classroom learning. By merging the realms of magic and education, we aspire to unlock the full potential of our students, guiding them towards a future filled with possibilities.
